We have had our Technivorm for only a couple of days but I wanted to write a review to inform people of a couple little inconveniences that might have dissuaded me from buying. I didn't read about these in any of the multiple reviews I read before buying. I do want to say however that I still gave it a four because it makes excellent coffee and that is the most important thing...and I do mean excellent. The most irritating thing is you have to change the top in the decanter with each brew because the "brewing" top won't keep the coffee hot. When you change the top to the one that will keep it hot it then won't fit back under the brewer so you have to just leave it on your counter or wherever to take up more space. Maybe it's a small thing but I don't like to be surprised after reading so many reviews. Again, it does make an excellent cup of coffee though. The best I've ever had.

The coffee from this pot is AMAZING, it tastes better than even professional brewers. However, it doesn't make that much coffee, and we drink a lot of it here, so feel like I am constantly making it to have enough for us. The other thing, is the whole system seems a bit flimsy, too many parts that fit together rather haphazardly.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband - was a great deal (258 including shipping) and came with a few extras (manual burr grinder, two coffe cups, descaler). He is very happy with the quality of the coffee- far superior to his previous drip maker.
