5Finally got another one!
By L. Mills
After my original odc325 died(6yrs of heavy use) I purchased the "new" stainless steel nightmare caraffe unit. For $60 you can have a pot that leaks and doesnt keep coffee warm. After surching online I was able to purchase my orignal one. It is a refurb but looks like it has never been used. I got it for $39.97 @ Service Merchandise.com. In case anyone needs to replace there old and wants one worth having.

1WON'T LAST, bought 2 worked less than a year!!!
By L. Olson
I love the space saving design. I have very low cabinets and most coffe makers don't fit under them. So, I bought this model. It leaked terribly within the first week. We put up with this as we had little options. The hot plate peeled and therefore the pot always stuck to the burner. Within a year it just stopped working. We thought that it was a fluke and bought another and had the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN!! Again, it leaked immediatly, constantly. This one did not even last 6 months! At $60.00 a pop I will not buy this brand again. I hope someone else comes out with one. Don't waste your money. Great spacesaver but all the space you save will be constantly wet! We broke down a bought a standard coffee maker and just have to put up with the location of it.

1This machine has problems!
By Jennifer
I'm actually basing this review on two different coffeemakers: my mom and I both happened to buy the same model of black & decker spacemakers within a couple of months of each other about a year ago, and both had the same problems. This has led me to believe it wasn't just that I got a lemon. (She's gotten rid of hers. Mine's on its way out: I'm asking for a different one for Christmas.)

1) you put in 12 cups of water but you don't get 12 cups of coffee. You get more like 10.2) This is apparently because the seal between the water reservoir and the machine itself is poor: it leaks badly. I've had to place a towel under my machine every day because when I set it up at night, it drips continually approximately 7 nights out of 10, and in the morning the towel will range from damp to just plain wet. Altering the amount of water I put in (underfilling it) and wiping everything dry before I put the reservoir back has not helped this situation.3) The water trails out to the front of the reservoir and down across the clock and controls before dripping onto the counter. So far the clock and controls still work, but I can't imagine that kind of exposure to water is going to be good for it long-term and it does rather seem silly to have designed it that way.......

Anyway. I had a B&D spacemaker years ago which I loved. But like I said, I observed this problem with two machines. So give the current models a miss until B&D straightens up its act.
